A Preview on the Sony Ericsson Anzu Shows No Sign of Gingerbread
By Mark Zalewski

For weeks, the “Anzu” fever has infected everyone in the mobile world, causing a flurry of comments from here and there. Russian blogger , the man who started it all, popped the cork revealing Sony Ericsson’s flagship for 2011. Expected to come out as Xperia X12, the Anzu reportedly had outstanding features including the latest Android Gingerbread OS. But what we thought to be the best might be just 'air' after all as Mr. Murtazin again did a preview of the phone in his so-called lab revealing that the phone only runs on Android 2.1 – as of the moment. But before you turn your back on this one; your constant anticipation might turn out to be useful after all because Eldar further said that since the launch will be 2011, it might run on Android 2.2 before finally getting an upgrade for the Android 2.3 or also known as Gingerbread. Another thing that he said was that the phone only has an LCD display, not LED. Booo! The other good stuff on the other hand still remains the same – 800MHz Qualcomm MSM 7230 processor, 12 Megapixel camera, and 4.3 inch display. But again, so many things can happen until 2011 and our perceptions might change quite often. Source: Engadget
