Apple’s deal with the world's largest mobile carrier
By Kim Zalewski

Recently we have got information (thanks to the China's First Financial Daily) that 'Apple Chief Operating Officer Tim Cook with a contingent of 7-8 other Americans in the lobby of the headquarters for China Mobile. The flags of China and the U.S. were both on display in the lobby.' In accordance with MIC Gadget, Apple's COO might be meeting with execs of the world's greatest mobile carrier to bring the Apple iPhone to China Mobile. Taking into consideration the fact that the carrier has more than 600 million customers, it would be quite a coup for the Cupertino based firm. At the moment, the handset is available through the smaller carrier - China Unicom, where 179.34 million people are subscribed (at least this is the May stats). And although the device can not be officially used on China Mobile's pipelines, 4 million iPhones are reportedly connected into the larger carrier's network.
