ChatON, is Samsung's take on BBM and iMessage. It is now available on the Android Market, to anyone holding on to a device running Android 2.2 or higher. Yes, that is correct. Even though Samsung is behind the service, it is compatible Android smartphone regardless of its make. Unlike BBM or iMessage, it is not proprietary, which is why it isn't available exclusively to Samsung devices. What's more is that iOS and BlackBerry OS versions of ChatON are soon to be released as well. It features one-on-one conversations, service supports group chats, broadcasts, animated messages, and sending pictures, videos, audio, location data, calendar entries and contact information to your buddies. Moreover, it also has this so-called Interaction Rank, that shows how active a user is at ChatON. Does it spark your interest?
