Facebook Connecting to the Kids
By Jerry Carrion

Facebook has recently been exploring ways to connect to a younger audience, while still obeying the law. According to the Wall Street Journal, Facebook has been trying a more formalized structure for children under the age of thirteen in a way that will also lessen users who put up false ages. Consumer Reports currently counts the number of under-age children on Facebook at around 7.5 million. In spite of other privacy issues Facebook is seeking to find ways to add parental controls to their social network for children under the age of thirteen. The kid-friendly version could possibly have the ability to tie parents' accounts to their children, making game purchases able to be made through the bank account of the parents.
