HTC, I hope you don’t think we’ve forgotten the promises made towards updating the Hero’s firmware to Android 2.0, after completing the porting of Sense to Google’s latest code. Unfortunately, it seems as though they have. But, don’t get ahead of yourself just yet. Evidence pointing towards the Hero operating Android 2.1, which would seamlessly complement Google’s hint to place a “minor update” on 2.0 before the end of 2009, has pictorially emerged. The interface seems similar to 1.5, proving that HTC was able to put Sense into action without conflict. There’s no information depicting the availability of the Android 2.1, but high anticipation can’t bring us any closer. Sit back, relax, and wait for the day the announcement pops up. Via here.
