Microsoft Announces Windows Phone 8 for this Fall
By Jerry Carrion

Everyone knew it was only a matter of time until Microsoft unveiled the curtains on Windows Phone 8. Well today we finally got a good look on what they've been referring to as "Apollo" for the last couple of months. The first thing we'll note about the new OS is that it will not work on any existing Windows Phone. This means if you're looking to get your hands on any of the features announced today, you'll have to purchase a new phone entirely. That's right loyal Microsoft followers, even for those who went out to purchase the new Lumia. Besides that tidbit of info, it all seemed to be good news as Microsoft unveiled that devices will now support up to 64 cores at once. Other announcements included VoIP support, multitasking, and an array of other features.
