Palm Pre: It Knows When You're Late.
By Ricky Mauch

WebOs has a lot of people talking. Even more so since there are scarce details about many of its new features. Though during an interview investor Roger McNamee let out some new information regarding some of the pre's capabilities. Now this is where it gets a little creepy. The concept of your phone knowing where you are and where you need to be is now a reality. Everything going through your phone, your data, im's, text messages, and social networking calenders are all organized into one mega-supertron calender. From there, it helps you calculates where you need to be, where you are, and even pulls up wikipedia pages with who you will be meeting with. It sounds like a really good idea, but we'll have to see how well it really works. Half-billion dollar investor Roger McNamee seems pretty confident about the new device. In an interview he was quoted saying When you're late it — remember, this thing has GPS; it has a clock; and it has your calendar. So it not only knows where you are, it knows where you're supposed to be and when....so when it realizes you're going to be late, it says, 'Hey, not only are you going to be late, but I can take care of it for you. I'll send an email to your assistant or to the people in the meeting, which would you prefer? And oh, by the way, here's the map.'
