Recylced Water Bottle Phone by Motorola

Motorola is redefining the cell phone production game by producing the W233 Renew, a cell phone made from recylced plastic water bottles. Not only did they make the phone out fo recyclables, but the packaging is also made from recycled material, boasts Motorola. There is also a postage-paid box inside the package made of recycled paper that customers can mail their old phones back to Motorola for recylcing. Expected the first quarter of 2009 under the T-Mobile flag, the W233 Renew is the first phone made from recylced water bottles. It has a carbon neutral footprint for those who are interested in maintaining lower carbon consumption, also making the phone 20% less to manufacture. The W233 Renew is a bar-style basic messaging phone with dual-band 850/1900 GSM/EDGE radios. Talk time lasts 9 hours, using CrystalTalk for quality phone reception. The W233 also supports an expandable microSD card up to 2GB. Click here to read more about the W233 Renew including specifications, features, and high-resolution pictures.
