The amount of rumors circulating the internet is quite mindboggling when seen on a global scale. If you paid attention to the internet at all yesterday, you would know that various rumors were reported that Samsung was planning to announce a social network that would rival Facebook. However, none of that appears true at all. Samsung sounded quite confused when asked about the rumor. They simply stated they are not planning to offer a social network, or what we would call Samsung Facebook. They did however reiterate the fact they will continue to offer its Family Story services on its devices. It is also still continuing to work on the experience as well, but they will remain “far from a Samsung Facebook.” I personally don’t blame Samsung after seeing the outcome of Google plus and all of the investments made into the service. It feels good to finally this wild rumor to rest.
