Update: a few weeks back we here at Cellphonetrek.com made a post that Spotify, a music subscription website out of Sweden, was creating an App for the iPhone. Now they, along with UK service provider 3, and HTC have come to an agreement for 3 to sell the HTC hero with the Spotify program built in. This is a very big deal for all three companies involved here as Spotify can diversify from just an app for purchase to an already available program, just the user needs to activate. The real winner for this deal is seemingly under estimated as 3, UK’s smallest service provider, will for the first time carry the HTC Hero, an Android powered smart phone. This will in turn create loyal customer base as most analysts believe when a company offers phones with game and music apps it creates a loyal customer base.
