Windows 8 Store passes 35,000 total apps
By Jerry Carrion

Microsoft’s Windows 8 Store continues to grow, and for the past 35 days, there's a total of 14,557 apps that have been added according to tracking website MetroStore Scanner. With that number, the Windows 8 Store ecosystem now has a total of 35,167 apps. 22,000 of these apps are available in the US market.

This feat may be not on par with Apple and Google Stores, but these new figures will surely give Microsoft a boost to strive harder and move forward. The Windows 8 store debuted with 10,000 apps on October 30, and has grown to 13,000 within a week. Windows 8 adds 415 apps/day, which puts the OS on track to hit the 50,000 mark, on February 1.
